i haven't written on this in what seems like forever. the amount of things that have happened to me seem endless. i have not grown tired or restless. my motivation has grown and my desire increased. the addition of things to my life have helped to enrich it and thus my outlook on it has diversified as well. i've always had a tendency to want to see the multiple angles of life, wanting to consider the different aspects that exist. for me its been about considering them and realizing which one to act on at that particular moment and time. we have so many variables that go into the equation that is our lives. sometimes the factors that we believe to be constant seem to fluctuate as well. at the end of the day though and i know this may sound overly simple is that what we choose to take from it is what defines who we are. sometimes we feel we are in complete control and sometimes it like we have non at all. the fact of the matter is that it is a battle we wage everyday and one which we must learn to be comfortable with. we tend to look at adversity as a distruption to the order of things, interfering with what we are accustomed to and causing some sort of reaction. it is that action that defines how we take in that event. adjust? rebel? sulk? whatever internal reaction we have inside and how that correlates to what we do in the outside world adds to the many layers of who we are as a person. i know this sounds rather vague and in a lot of ways it is but the whole point i'm trying to make really originates from this article i just read:

for me it means we are just people trying to live our lives. sometimes we go with the flow and sometimes we want to completely go against it. the point is that it cant always be one way. itd get boring after a while i think and maybe even drive you crazy a little bit. in life we find events, people, activities, things to add to the richness that is our lives. they are characters that come in and out, the transitions that happen from one chapter to the next. the fact of the matter is that it is and no measure of standardism or "how things should be" or "what is right" really applies to what it is we do. i mean we all have principles that we live by and ultimately those are things that go into who we are as people just like everything else. anyhow just a ramble but a good one. good to think freely as always and put down some thoughts. p.s. i love my mom....
