i was just thinking that i would write eventhough i did a good amount of that last night. anyhow its been almost a month at the new spot and i guess i'm getting used to things. i can kind of be routine oriented when it comes to stuff so i'm glad i've been good about getting into habits when it comes to keeping the place in order as well as getting out it. i got one more week of school, with one half way done paper due tomorrow and a final thursday. after that its back to just being a worker again which i'm actually looking forward to. i'm not one to bring work home so it'll be good to not have to be a 24/7 student for a few months. as a pseudo reward to myself i'll be going to japan for two weeks. now while it was planned to correlate with my summer from school i didn't know at the time that it'd also be a way for me to celebrate my moving in as well. timing is everything i guess, and i suppose i've been fortunate as of late. i guess this is the point i wanted to really hit today. not the timing thing, but the fortunate part. maybe something that i talk to others but something i definitely look to apply on a daily basis. i mean me and brother talk about it all the time, we had a good upbringing with loving parents (eventhough they split up) and grandparents and a good education and all that stuff. for that i'm truly thankful and understand that with those things i already had a good foundation for things. i mean i don't consider myself the luckiest guy in the world but do feel i have a healthy outlook on life albeit at times a naive one. i know the world can be a harsh place and it can shut you up the second you think it's finally ok to speak. but i don't know i guess i just refuse to let life get me down for whatever reason, though sometimes i know it still does. i know almost all things in life we do not have absolute control. hell sometimes we don't even have absolute control over ourselves. but as individuals it is important for us to realize the choices that we do have in life, which happen to be quite a few. i guess its just good to know that you're not always just some pawn in the greater scheme of things and that there is this predestined path for you to go on. things change, people change, and so do you. the way you feel and how you want to feel are two inherently different things, fortunately for us one can influence the other. i don't know i guess this kinda spawned from a proverb making session with co-worker the other day. one of my all time favorite self creations started it off.."life is a lot like driving , sometimes you gotta scan from side to side"..my not so original self creation from this was the following..."quit feeling sorry yourself, it makes you sorry"...anyhow i'll quit wasting this morning and get some shit done. soapbox off. alrite folks...
